Welcome to the Indie Series
Embarking on our 4th year of the series, we are excited to introduce a few changes for 2008.
First, we will be starting our season much later this year. Now, we can't guarantee balmy weather in April, nor can we guarantee that we will we have wiped the pasty white off our northwest winter legs. But odds are pretty good that it will be above 30 degrees, unlike last years season opener.
Now moving on to warmer weather, we are excited to bring to you a new race in the '08 lineup. With much enthusiasm, we welcome the Roslyn Mountain Bike Festival hosted by Roslyn Cyclery, in you guessed it, Roslyn, WA.
Roslyn is home to much more than "Northern Exposure"; some of the greatest mountain bike terrain also lives there. Many of us got a taste of it in the days of the WIM series, leaving our appetites whetted for fun challenging terrain in a dryer climate. The festival is a community event with all proceeds going to the Roslyn Library. This remarkable town is opening it's doors wide for us and offering in-town camping, a breakfast feed, and more. Get ready to be embraced by the pint-sized town!
And lastly, you will notice some changes in the season finale. While still being held in Greenwater, for all intensive purposes, it is a new race - Ragnarök's Race of the Gods. Many of you know the Ragnarök Racing gang and know that they will no doubt bring their team fun and antics to this race to give you a divine mountain bike racing experience. Additionally, the race will now be held on Sunday to allow racers to head to the foothills of Mt. Rainier for a Saturday pre-ride, some other Saturday fun (remember, this is Ragnarök we're talking about), and camping.
